Holly (Ch: Buxton We Will Rock You) did not like the show ring at all, and as soon as she gained her Championship status, she retired from the ring and became our very best brood bitch ever.
She is the dam of Monty, Missy & Sarah-Jane, CHAMPION BUXTON I GET AROUND AT KAIKOURA, (Angus) and BUXTON SURFIN' USA (Mojo) She has produced something outstanding in all her litters, no matter which stud was used. Holly was one of the dogs we had to re-home before we left South Africa., and she now resides with a young Airedale named Charlie and their owner Veronique in Pretoria, South Africa.
Topsy (Buxton Cover Drive) never did get her last CC, therefore did not become a Champion, but what she lacked in "title" she made up for in other ways. She is an excellent watch dog for the family, is spoilt and she knows it! Topsy now resides in New Germany Kwa Zulu Natal., also with another Airedale named Lucy and of course their owner June Martin. Unfortunately we do not have a photo of Topsy, or if we did, it certainly got lost in transit from South Africa to England.
Unfortunately soon after my return from England, Topsy was diagnosed with cancer, and it was decided by her new owner June and her vet, to send her over the bridge, to prevent further suffering.
